Bongo Club Cabaret
Bongo Club

Beginning with American roots folk straight from the Bible Belt (though without the morals), the Bongo Club has created a cabaret of seduction, celebration and imagination. Thoughts that variety is dead are dispelled by ingenious performances from the likes of Frisky and Mannish, looking stunning as they turn simple pop into brilliant Brechtian punk with more than just a sly wink.

Cataclysmic, as the night’s burlesque delight, is a similar tease of mind and body, making sure this particular revival is suitably represented. Compered effortlessly, Rhymes With Purple know what they’re doing, and if the acts are this good every night, this could become a must see. I want to go again!
